I would be funny about it being the child is so young. 6 weeks? You don't know the credentials those people have, so I understand your fiancé's concern. I don't think I'd let a gym watch my son until he could talk.
I agree 6 weeks is too young for me to leave behind I would just workout at home. There are tons of great free workout programs out there (I personally love www.fitnessblender.com). A wedding is enough motivation to get you to actually do it too haha! Or there's mom and baby classes too...
I use my gyms day care all the time. I can see what's going on in there and I've been going since my son was 8 weeks. I will totally take my daughter when she's born.
If you plan on vaccinating I would wait till after their first set of shots at 8 weeks. Their immune systems are pretty weak to be around others with unknown germs.
My thought process in him being young is if the people staffing the center have the same credentials as someone working in a daycare- what's the difference? Especially that it would be for an hour a day and I would be right there.
I still need to get some more in depth info but thought it was great that it was offered
I used Gold's kids service. I was very skeptical but my daughter WAS vaccinated first. I needed the weight gone so, I got to know the staff, who were highly qualified and had excellent childcare credentials. They LOVED my daughter as she loved being with them for 2 hours per day. It was like a vacation for us both! Verify the staff & protect baby. Use your mommy senses.

I would definitely wait until he is vaccinated.
