I have the same problem. I bought a doc a tot and put it in our bed for her to sleep in and she usually wakes up as soon as I lay her down. She is now starting to get used to it and waking up less. Repetition is key I think keep trying and don't give up!

I,have same problem. This causes me to hold him during the night while we sleep and I know your not supposed to. I don't know what else to do. I like him right next to me though too.

Both my boys have not been that into the bassinet. I have the summer infant cosleeper and I think the mattress isn't comfortable. Both of them would go in the crib for the first stretch of sleep at night but then sleep with me. I nurse in side lying position so I'm not stuck holding the baby.

As for naps, my first napped a lot on me so I would put him in a carrier and run errands during that time. Or I would watch a movie and let him nap on my lap. He also didn't mind napping in the stroller as a newborn. This baby seems to nap well in his crib for now but that could change when he becomes more aware.

But yes, totally normal for baby to want to be close to you while sleeping. You'll find ways to work around it.

Yes my baby sleeps on me at night, daddy sleeps to deep to hold her. I bought a rock n play that I'll put her in during the day to get her used to it but she will only stay asleep for 20 minutes at the most and sometimes she wakes up as soon as I lie her in it. At night I want to put her in it but I know she will wake right up and I'm always so tired I just result back to letting her sleep on me.

Also the only way she will sleep without being held is when she is on her tummy, she can stay asleep a whole 2 hours! Though this is a "no no" I'm always close by.
