It's been 5 months and my company still doesn't not have a policy in place. It's making my anxiety skyrocket because I am the breadwinner and it's making me so nervous. Basically because they don't know if my job will be secured or not. They worry that I will decided to stay home...which I said won't and can't happen. They also worry I will find a new job.. .who has time to find a new job during maternity weeks?

No were less than 50 employees and they've never had a pregnant employee before or a policy in place.

I might use my leave to look for a new job, so it's a valid concern. I would try to politely explain to them that if they don't guarantee your position, they will be much more likely to lose you, and potentially their women that may be put in the same position. Assuming you're a valued employee, that should hopefully push them to making a decision.

Yeah I did send an email to the owner saying that I will defiently not be a stay at home mom because I'm the breadwinner and that I have no intentions of looking for a new job.
So, I guess I'm just waiting. It's just taking a long time.
