Breastfeeding became so painful

How far along are you? I am 8 weeks, and I feel ya. My 2 yr old still nurses a few times a day- night and morning, mostly.

My boobs are starting to feel hard, and the nipples are sooo sensitive I can hardly stand it!

There is still some milk coming out, but much less, so he wants to be at it for long periods to get milk. I just want to scream! Hoping he weans fully in the coming months. It hurts!

Oh gosh it's so annoying

Just a question, why not wean them off? I breastfed my daughter until she was a lil over a year old and started her on some solids. I also started giving her pumped milk in a bottle and gradually weaned her off the breast. She was done before she was 2, largely because I had to go back to work but also because I felt she was old enough at that point to be off the breast.

I just got my 21 month old weaned. I started the process when I found out I was pregnant! I feel ya it's annoying and overwhelming

Kudos to You ladies. My son turned 15 months and I was DONE. I hope the weaning goes well!

My older three nursed til almost 2 years old (pregnant during two of those) and my youngest is 24 months old and still very into nursing :-)

Extended nursing is healthy for you and the nursling!!! No need to wean unless you or the child wants to!

I understand the sensitivity while being pregnant though.
