Spotting after ultrasound? Should I be worried? ?
Today I had my first ultrasound and I'm measuring a day ahead at 5w5d!! It was so exciting to see that little black circle one the monitor! However when I got home I noticed some brown spotting when I went to the restroom, and only when I wiped. Since then it's gotten a bit worse and it's more of a pinkish brown now. I've also had some cramping today. I've had no spotting up to this point, but I have been cramping off and on since I got my bfp. Is this something I should be concerned about or is this from the transvaginal ultrasound. I'm trying very hard to stay calm and not freak out, but after 8+ years of infertility and going through ivf to get pregnant I'm so scared of losing this baby. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Could just be from the ultrasound. You should be fine unless it gets a lot worse like you have painful cramps and bright red bleeding or clots

Could def just be from the ultrasound, possibly irritated your cervix which is engorged with blood. Could you call your dr to put your mind at ease?? Fx it's gone tomorrow and things continue uneventfully!! ??

could be from the ultrasound but i would call your doctor in the morning for sure. If it gets worse or you feel bad cramping go to the hospital

Thanks ladies. Everything I've read suggests it might be an irritated cervix. But I'm definitely going to put a call in to my doctor tomorrow to make sure.

Update: after some brown spotting yesterday afternoon I woke up this morning and the spotting was almost completely gone. But then this afternoon I started having red spotting with some clots and some cramping. I called my clinic and they got me in to be scanned again by the nurse. During the ultrasound we were able to see the sac and a small white speck that is the baby and it's still measuring right on time. They couldn't see any reason for the spotting. They mentioned that it could be related to RH factor, dehydration, struggling to have a bm, or carrying around my 3 year old. I go in again tomorrow to see my doctor and hopefully we'll have some real answers. They told me in the meantime to rest and take it easy. So I guess it's just a waiting game at this point. I'm trying to remain calm, but it's hard. I'm just so worried. ?
