I'm glad someone did this. A lot of people aren't aware of childcare assistance being an option. In my state as long as you're working or in school you qualify if your child has Medicaid.
I don't have it but I never knew it even existed! How helpful this must be for the working single moms trying to go to school or provide for their families.
In Illinois the child care assistance is being taken away, if you are not grandfathered in because the state is so broke they can barely afford to pay anyone.
child care assistance is extremely hard to get where I live. I can't tell you how long it took to get my kids case open, and then how many jobs I've lost because they kept shutting the case off. even when I had everything in order and all paperwork in. I'm not complaining, it's just really upsetting when you think everything is taken care of and it's not.
and rental assistance too, I've been everywhere when I was homeless with a newborn and found no one able to help. at the same time, a girl I went to school with got section 8 within a week applying. that would be great for her, except she was a heroin addict who pawned her child off constantly, sold her food stamps for cash and didn't have a job. the system. is flawed and not. all of these are easy to get. unfortunately

I think it depends on what state you live in, what you can receive. Each state has their own income guidelines.
