Breeched babies and birthmarks
Breeched babies and birthmarks
My LO was breeched and my hips were too narrow for him to flip. I feel so bad for my baby because he now has this huge birthmark all over his bottom that looks like a bruise. It doesn't hurt and the pediatrician at birth said it was fine. I have a lot of guilt though? probably would have gotten chiropractic help if i'd known

Both my girls weren't breeched & still have birth marks on their lower back. My oldest which is 3, is actually fading. Their pediatrician said they are called "Mongolian spots". And will fade with time.

My little girl doesn't have one and she was breech.

The Mongolian spots are due to race not being breech my son had them to they go away after a year or so and that's the most common place for them

Mongolian spots are super common in just about every race/ethnicity aside from Caucasian. Both of my kids had them

My daughter was breach until 35 weeks and has a littl birth ,ark on her lower back. I never considered they were related until now. I did have chiropractic all through pregnancy and it didn't help. She did end up flipping nu unfortunately was sunny side up ?
She also sees the chiropractor now too

Wow never heard of those spots before and that they were common ? thought for sure i'd need some major chiropractic work before next baby. Sigh of relief!

My grandmother told my mother we had them because we're native American. So of course she asked me if our LO had it. I didn't know they were called Mongolian spots. My baby wasn't breech and she had a huge spot. I was concerned but the doc told me it was normal as children age and gain weight the spot almost disappear. Sometimes they do. I still have a small green spot above my crack ? maybe tmi
