12w gender scan 12 w gender prediction turn out right? My OB sees a pretty prominent "third leg" but…

I had a 12 week NT scan and the doc said her prediction was boy but that, of course, she wasn't certain. Turned out to be a boy!

They were sure mine was a boy but it was just the chord between her legs!

My Dr did a quick US at my 12+3 apt, to check baby's measurements but said it was way too early to even check sex. His machine isn't super clear, so I think that might be why. He said he'd check sex at 16+3, that'll be Fri so we'll see!

I would be VERY careful about any scan before 18-20w. The genitals are still forming and that makes them swollen, plus the cord can mimic the appearance of a penis. My brother's girlfriend was told boy at 16 weeks and she came out a girl!

Yes pp but my dh asked my ob if that "third leg" could be the cord and he didn't think and pointed on the screen where the cord would be- more tummy centered?At12w I thought the cord was more down by the genitals..

It depends how they are laying. I was convinced that it was a boy from 12 weeks but when the 20 week scan came, I was told she's a girl. I had a 4D scan at 27 weeks and she's definitely a girl. Her chord was by her moo moo haha xx

I was told at 12 weeks and a couple days, it was a boy. The tech told me she was pretty sure and she was right.

It's a guess at that point

Thanks girls, for a couple days I was catching myself calling it a he already lol this really brings back the unknowing feeling and will be a definite surprise once time comes ??
