Update: Had my 16 week appt and had to do a quick ultrasound since baby was moving too much for a doppler hearbeat check. Doc saw the pic in this post and thinks it is a girl. He said if it was the penis there, it would be a brighter white, like how the feet are here or like an xray of bones. Today the baby again had crossed legs and tongue sticking out too!

The little one has crossed his/her feet. So it is hard to figure out what would it would be if the legs were open. If something stuck out like a boy or was just swollen there like a girl.

I say Girl...my baby boy was very obvious at 13w 1d and was confirmed by blood test :-)

Someone posted what a baby looks like both male and female and you would be surprised how swollen it can be !! But this one is a hard one to guess. I said boy but after seeing that picture it could go either way.

Can a girl be this swollen at 13w? While a girl is swollen, this seems like too much to be jist swelling. Looks like a boy part to me? I have a boy already so would love a girl, but I just cant see how a girl can be so swollen.

My baby's nub was pretty small, the ultrasound tech was pretty surprised because usually at 13-15 weeks baby girl parts are usually still pretty swollen which can sometimes make them look like boy parts. I'm going to guess girl, because there doesn't seem to be an obvious boy part hanging out, but I'm not 100% sure.

Oh man! Guess I will have to wait longer to know! The ultrasound tech seemed to indicate that by 13w, the swelling has gone down if it is a girl, so it might be a boy. But she would not confirm! And my healthcare covers only sequential screening so only the downs syndrome etc is covered in the testing. They dont cover gender.

Mine doesn't do the NT scan anymore. Only the panorama test. So I've got another month before I can see my baby again!

Didn't they also do a blood test to go along with the NT scan? I was lucky that the tech that did my NT scan said he was like 85-90% sure of the sex based on US but that I should compare it to the blood test results to be sure. Sure enough he said girl and the blood test also said girl:)

This was a nuchal translucency scan, this was covered by insurance so I went for it

My son wasn't til the anatomy scan at 19 weeks lol. I never get scans at this time ?

I'm also guessing girl because my second boy was obvious at 13wks.

Mine too, it was completely obvious with my DS at 13w6d! So I am wondering! When did you get the completely obvious ultrasound with your son?

I'm gonna say girl only cause with my first boy it was completely obvious!

Anyone else? The ulttasound tech wouldnt tell me either way! She told me that since the baby is this big, chances are what I see is what I gey. But then she said a girl is still swollen down there at this time.

Oh my gosh my baby was the same way in ultrasound with the feet cross like that!!! I am not sure ... I guess Boy.

Update: Had my anatomy scan and it is surely a boy!
