Which city/state is best to raise a family?
With everything going on in the world I'm curious as to where in the U.S. is best to raise a family? Safe, in expensive with friendly people and clean surroundings as in streets. Let me know! Thanks ladies ❤️

I can't help you with what state is best but I can tell you if your thinking of new Mexico then you probably sbould cross it off your list. It is pretty cheap living over here but the crime/drug/poverty rate is horrible. Not to mention our schools are pretty damn bad.

Spokane Washington State is a very good town to live in and to raise your family!!! There are very good schools!

Smaller towns of Idaho. Big cities are still scary for me. But most towns everybody knows who's who. neighbors are friendly and helpful. Lower wages but cost of living is cheap compared to alot of places. At 17 i had a 2 bd apt for 400 when i was only getting paid 9 hr. Still had plenty of money left over for everything and than some. And alot of people i met who come down say Idaho is one of the friendliest places they've been and yes plenty of fresh outdoors.

North and South Carolina are amazing! Pretty cheap , Raleigh NC is really nice , this is the area I’m looking into ! Everyone is friendly and helpful! I’m currently in New Jersey and I wouldn’t recommend it! Nj is getting pretty expensive && in the areas that are cheap it’s because it’s very bad crime rate and horrible school district ! My aunt lives in Georgia and she LOVES IT, not Atlanta but some good neighborhoods , she gets very nice town homes and the school districts there are amazing also !

Georgia resident here and I can agree with PP’s aunt — love it here! I’m about 45 minutes north outside the perimeter of Atlanta and it’s perfect. We’re close enough to Atlanta to have easy access to the benefits of a big city but aren’t directly in the middle of it. Cost of living is affordable and we’re in a great school district. Only downside I will say is in mine and my husband’s case, this is a red state which can be frustrating at times but that’s about the only grumble I have!

I would not pick Illinois. Their finances kinda suck. Here in Kentucky is nice and cheap living, although we did just have a school shooting at our local school :( but there have been like 18-20 across the US so far this year...which is terrible. You can look up a map of where they all occurred. I love north and South Carolina as well. I know several bad places in Michigan so idk that I’d choose there. Tennessee is nice but Memphis is bad, don’t go there. California and Florida are expensive. But that’s about the extent of my knowledge

LA is super expensive and traffic is a pain.
If I would recommend anything in Cali it would be Bakersfield Ca is an upcoming community. It’s still currently affordable to buy a house w great potential for them to appreciate.

Where do you live now?
I'm originally from Utah, but settled in Nebraska after moving around the country. I love it here!

Currently live in NY but as you know it's so expensive here! I like to be close by to stores, hospital and people but I don't want the hustle and bustle of busy streets

I currently live in Hawaii and I can tell you it’s beautiful but the schools are terrible and it’s overly expensive. When I lived in Colorado I always said I was moving back when my kids are school age because the schools are amazing, the crime rate is low it’s not to expensive and it’s beautiful.
