Can't put her in her crib
Can't put her in her crib
She'll be sleeping on me snoring and all but the second I try to put her down she cries and she'll sit or stand and start whaling, sometimes it takes me up to 8 tries to finally get her to stay sleeping in there. Anyone with any tips or advice? TIA

Try to stop her from falling asleep on you and instead put her down in the crib when she shows signs of being tired like yawning or rubbing her eyes. She needs to put herself to sleep in the crib so she knows where she is. It's easiest to start this with daytime naps and then do the same at bed time.

If she's teething right now I say just hold her, it's a phase. My son would do this while he was teething because he just couldn't get into a comfortable and deep enough sleep to not wake when I tried too lay him down. So I just got comfy in the rocking chair and held for his naps until he cut the tooth and started sleeping deeper again.
Everyone will tell you what the PP just said and it's a nice idea but it never worked for us and wouldn't have unless I just let my son cry in his crib till he was too exhausted to stay awake any longer and I didn't want that for either of us.

I went through that until my son was 13.5 months. I tried putting him down tired and letting him cry it out nothing worked! Finally one night he just learned to fall asleep on his own. Now he is a much better sleeper.

Yep. Did that with my son for a while. It got so bad that eventually I had to do it the "hard way" and start putting him in his crib at a certain time and let him cry it out until he's asleep. It's hard but it works. Just don't be tempted to go in there when you feel bad because they're crying. If you feel you must go in there, just go in and give them their pacifier and walk back out. Eventually they will give up and lay down and go to sleep.

I would heat up a rice bag or heating pad on the bed. I'd rock her and sing to her till she was sleepy. I'd then lay her on the warm spot on the crib. Worked like a charm. Going to a warm spot to warm spot never startled her awake. I'd treat nap time almost like bed time. Same routine basically. Music, books, dark, sing. My Kid napped like a champ and slept like a champ always. I mean like 12 hour nights and 2/3 hr naps.

My son did this all the time. It's so frustrating and tiring sometimes. How old is your child? Mine will be 2 on Valentine's Day and we still are trying to make him an independent sleeper. It's a process but I think some kids are just plain better sleepers than others

Have you tried covering her in the t shirt you had on that day? Odd I know but it worked for all 3 of my kids
