Im trying to look outside of NY, I live on the island and it is so much. My husband and I are still looking but we aren't sure being money needs to be saved more for baby and hers/his needs.

I live in Long Island and it's really expensive. I'd say stay away from NY lol. Me and my husband are looking to move to NC next year since it's more affordable there.

I live in Charlotte NC, we aren't in the best school district right now, we are 15 minutes from uptown so my bf is close to work. We bought this 3 bed 2 bath ranch on a little over a quarter of an acre in 2012 for $115,000. North Carolina is really the best as long as you avoid Charlotte Mecklenburg schools (cms). Beach is 3 hours away, Asheville (where i want to move next)is an hour and a half. Weather is nice all year round, it doesn't get chilly till late october, actual snow fall is pretty rare and short lived. Asheboro zoo, Columbia zoo are a little over an hour away, national white water center, carowinds, emerald point water park, great wolf lodge, and dozens of parks. There's plenty of small town fairs/festivals. Also lake norman, wiley, and tillery. There's Lowe's motor speedway, and other Nascar activites. Tons of museums and discovery place/kids.

I grew up in Mint Hill, and I'm still best friends with every kid that lived on my block. Lol did I sell it? If you're looking at cities or towns in NC, and want to know what they're really like, you can ask me.
