2nd child age range I'm just wondering I always wanted my kids close in age but how difficult is or…

I am on my 3rd and all 3 of my kids will be about 2.5 to 3yrs apart. I love it this way for the simple fact that when one is born the next older one goes to pre-k. The pre-k here is only a half day so I'll have 4 hours just me and baby.

It was important to me that my children be close enough in age that they could be close friends. Also, this way activities (such as going to age specific events) are appropriate for both kids--not just one. So, our oldest is just over 2 years old and our second is just 7 weeks old. Statistics suggest that 2 years apart is also good bc then there's less competition between the two. Yes it's difficult at times having a toddler and a newborn, but each age range/stage comes with its pros and cons.

I wish I had mine close together. At least 3-4 years apart. They could grow up together.

My friend had 2 years between her 5 boys. They're 8, 6, 4, and 2 year old twins. She seems to take it all in her stride, apart from the youngest twin is a terror for screaming and it wears her down.

I have 4 years between my two girls and honestly, they can be horrid to each other. The oldest is far too cool to play with her sister, but the youngest always wants to copy and play big girls. I'm currently pregnant again and my youngest will be almost 5 when it's born. Whether she'll be the same, I don't know, but she's a bit of a mother hen with our animals, so I'm hoping she's good.

There's 11 years between me and my brother and there was never any jealousy or fighting between us. In fact, I used to babysit quite a lot, even at such a young age, as my Mum worked a lot and she was a single parent.

My son was 2 in April. My second son is due in August. I'm up for the challenge lol
