Definitely talk to your doctor. The hormones get off balance really easily after birth. It can spiral quickly so stay on top of it. Good luck momma.

This is exactly how I felt after my daughter 3 years ago. It was about 5 days after I had her.. This time my doctor is sending me home with Zoloft. That's what I was prescribed last time and it worked wonders

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Definitely speak up to your doctor! I'm probably going to be filling my lexapro prescription on the way home from the hospital.

Thanks I will definitely bring it up with my dr. I'm really afraid to be on any kind of meds though so I'm hoping this is just temporary.

I'm sorry you r feeling so down. when I had my daughter I went through some baby blues too, especially when I was still at the hospital for the 3 days of recovery. I'm sure that this will pass for you as well. I didn't take any meds even though I kept feeling really depressed. but I think that's bcuz I was having such a hard time breastfeeding my daughter and getting her to gain weight. I cried a lot out of frustration, which I fully recomend, bcuz I wld always feel a lil better after I cried. definetly I kept my doctors informed and I leaned on my husband and sister for support. I recomend that if u don't want to use meds, than definetlt try to lean on your loved ones a lot. if u need a break, or if u just need someone to be there with you, don't be afraid to ask:) I hope you feel better soon mama, its a wonderful thing to be able to fully enjoy your baby and the new relationship you two now share:)

This is one if my concerns. My mom asked if I am ready to go home (I just delivered via c-section yesterday) and my response was NO. Even tho I won't be alone, I'm afraid. I'm a FTM.

There's a huge hormone shift around days 5-7. It is super intense and emotional but I promise it gets better. I was crying at the drop of a hat and had no clue why. It got better though. I'm still pregnant but I expect it'll happen with this baby too. Good luck, mama and if it doesn't get better, talk to your doc for sure.
