I never had progesterone checked but I took 4x 200mg pessaries a day and it’s absorbed directly by the uterus and doesn’t enter the blood stream. I stopped progesterone at 8 weeks because I had already bought enough for that but oestrogen I think stopped at 7 weeks since my lining didn’t need any more building up. These specialists know how much to give; rarely does the dose need to be changed. Once they do your ultrasound they have a pretty good idea based on the lining thickness.

Oh... they check them bc progesterone is what tells your uterus to maintain the pregnancy and not miscarry , so it’s super important to keep it up even if you hate the shots... when you ovulate on your own, you have a small cyst that remains in your ovary and it produces the progesterone until placenta takes over around 8-10 weeks. Every RE has a different protocol, some don’t make u take pio after positive beta. It won’t hurt to keep it up ;)

I think they checked me only once after my beta... don’t remember the number but it was around the numbers you mentioned you had. then again around 8 weeks and it was super high. It does fluctuate... if you are on pio then there’s really nothing more to do to keep it up... my OB told me normal progesterone without Ivf is supposed to be between 10 and 30 ... so anything above that range is great!

I had super high (I think like 130) levels around 8 weeks when OB tested me and he said that’s why I was probably so nauseous but my fertility doctor asked me to stay on the shots regardless until around 10 weeks .

Many ladies do not get that checked. Now I wonder why do they check them ? ?

Our gestational carrier is almost 10 weeks and hasn't had her progesterone checked since 5 days before transfer. She's on 1 cc of pio and it's considered the gold standard so they don't check levels.

I am on pio shots. Doc said it’s normal for the levels to fluctuate. I hope he’s right ????
