honey??

It just dawned on me that i ate some peanut butter and honey sandwiches I'm my first trimester. The only reason i realized it is because i have a cold and wanted to drink warm water with lemon and honey but the honey I have doesn't say pasteurized. Should i be ok i know this is probably dumb because I'm 19 weeks now but I'm a little worried

I think it is supposed to be pasteurized but I cannot say for sure. I went on the side of caution and haven't had any. And someine gave my hubby home grown (?) Honey.

If it's the type you buy in stores, then it's pasteurized. If it's a local or organic one, it doesn't hurt to be cautious of it. I typically use the website "livestrong" when looking up what's safe and what's not during pregnancy. It basically says that even during pregnancy, our adult stomachs are strong enough to kill any bacteria before reaching our babies. Hope this can help ease your worries.

Yes that does ease my worry, thank you. I probably won't eat anymore though.

Like 99% of honey you buy in store is pasteurized. If you buy from a bee farm really or something that is clearly stated unpasteurized is a slight concern. I wouldn’t worry about it at all honestly
