I am ebf my daughter, she is a little over two weeks old now and from the beginning she latches good on both breast . Lately she will latch on and right in the middle of the "letdown" she will unlatch and want to make a mess and just play and she does that before she latches now to. she will just want to play and I'm not sure what this is all about?? Also it's mainly the boob that seems to produce more milk that she doesn't like to latch on or it takes me all day to latch her on that one. .. Any suggestions on how to correct this sudden behavior?? The 3am feeding is becoming harder than it already is... ?

It's not actually play. It may be that your letdown is to forceful and she is unlatching to keep from choking. With my daughter she would get very upset and would unlatch for a few minutes as soon as let down started. You may just need to simulate a letdown before latching to see if that helps her stay once she is on.

I agree, it's probably the forceful let down. you could try a nipple shield. With my last child the lactation lady told me not to pump until my milk was established and producing only what it needed to. That way there wasn't an extreme amount of milk. She also said to lay down or lay back and place the baby on top of my belly with her head at my breast and feet down by your crotch. It allows the baby to not feel chocked when the milk comes flying out.

You can also try to adjust your nursing position so that baby is on top on the boob (laying down on your back - I forget the name). That way the milk is moving counter to gravity and may make it easier for her to nurse.

My daughter's Dr told me that it's normal that they get mad when your let down happens. I would do what the other ladies suggested and try a different position.
