I was a week late, so I had a nonstress test the day before I went into labor. I had some pink discharge in the morning. The test said I was having contractions but I couldn't feel them. The doctor said the discharge was probably just my cervix getting ready but he said my uterus was as high as he'd expect a 38 week pregnant woman's would be. He scheduled an induction for the following week because he doubted I'd go into labor on my own. The next day I lost my mucus plug towards the beginning of my 9 hr shift at work. I had some mild back pain. Went home after work and started having inconsistent contractions. I tried to sleep but they were just too uncomfortable/ semi painful. By the time I got to the hospital it was 11pm and I was in labor, 4cm dilated. The monkey headed doctor was definitely wrong and I had my daughter the following morning after a little over 9 hrs of labor.

The day before having my first I had a pretty long day. Sexy time in the morning (looking back this could have started the contractions ?) and an appointment with my midwife in the afternoon where she told me I was having contractions. I couldn't feel them, and she told me I could go on that way for a while. We visited my grandparents and then hubby's family for a huge dinner (we joke that if I eat the same food I'll go into labor with this one ?). The contractions started to get uncomfortable and then I lost my mucous plug before we ate. After dinner we went home and things started progressing fast. My water broke so we went to the hospital and had baby early morning- at 38w+6d.

My last pregnancy I was so ready to be over the whole pregnancy thing. Everything was washed, packed, painted, and rearranged to perfection a dozen times. I had been bouncing on my ball, walking, eating spicy food (buffalo hot wings yummy), etc & nothing was working. So that night i stayed up till about 2 am timing "braxton hicks" contractions to get in the hang of using some new app i found. It was jumping around, 10 minutes here, 5 minutes there, etc. Finally i just thought to myself "what the hell am i doing up timing these fake contractions when im going to need all my energy when the real ones come". So i went to bed. I swear it felt like i had just fallen asleep when i was awoken by this really loud popping sound like someone had just popped a balloon right in my bedroom. I sat up confused and went to the bathroom to check myself for water leakage. Nothing. I walked around the house in a daze trying to figure out what the heck happened & what woke me up because no one else in the house seemed to have even flinched. Finally im standing at the bathroom door staring at my husband wondering if i should wake him up when he feels me staring at him & is like "uum what are you doing" & im like "uum idk i think my water mightve broke but idk" (btw this was my 3rd pregnancy so youd think I'd be prepared right?) & hes like "uum what do you mean you think?" & i said "idk let me check again". So i go sit on the toilet and kinda bear down a little & woosh flood gates open! So then im all "oh sh!t!!" & hes all "omg what?!?!" & I'm all "YEP it broke!" then hes all "oh sh!t!". Anyways, fun times lol

I was only 37 weeks , I had been having no symptoms except for nesting ! So random, but the day before my water broke I laundered all her clothes. I even had a midwife appointment and mentioned that I think a small piece of my mucus plug was gone. I’m really nervous now, I had a 4-5 hour labour.

Nothing abnormal for me. I had a membrane sweep that morning so I was spotting all evening. Grilled out that evening and felt good. Minor contractions but I didn't pay much mind to it. Went to use the bathroom before bed and boom everything happened at once. So mine snuck up on me. ?

I remember being sooo ready for baby to get here. I had been in early labor for 3 weeks. Actually 4 cm 80 % effaced for 5 to 6 days! Anyhow, i went to see my ob and got a sweep, we walked the mall. I convinced a chinese massage guy at the mall to rub my feet since the pressure points are supposed to help kickstart labor ? his face was hysterical ? but it worked. Braxton hicks before bed. Bowels started emptying. Woke up at 11:34 pm in full blown labor contractions 2 min apart. Was holding my baby by 1:50 am. Called our parents with baby screaming in the background. Soo hoping this one is a similar experience lol

Nothing abnormal for me. I was overdue and just walked daily. The first sign was a mild cramp. I sat down just to rest well I noticed it again when going to bed and thought it might be contractions so used the contractions counter on the app. Sure enough. That was my only labor symptom. The rest came after I was admitted.

I was in nursing school during my first pregnancy, I took my last final that morning, did some shopping and went to bed that night relieved and exhausted that the semester was over. I went into labor that night at 3am after getting some of the best sleep I'd gotten my whole pregnancy :)
