Magnesium supplements.

Anyone else try taking a magnesium supplement to see if it helped with their blood sugars? I normally have been taking it and slacked the last few weeks before the glucose test. Now I’m feeling like that was a mistake because taking it again seems to have impacted my numbers by lowering them. Especially my fasting numbers. Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this phenomenon.

It might be the magnesium but I also took vitamin D and apparently B6 helps. Im in absolute amazement because I took a test an hour after eating a low carb peanut butter candy and tasting bites from both my daughters and husbands cupcakes along with eggs and cheese for dinner. My glucose was only 80! Not much exercise or movement at all today it was a really chill day.

I want to try this! Esp bc magnesium is what we need when we’re craving chocolate. And we all know I love my chocolate ?

Yeah it is an interesting supplement. Should also help with sleep, leg cramps, and keeping your bowel movements regular. I’m surprised it isn’t recommended more frequently. All the research I’ve done shows way more benefits then anything. The average diet just doesn’t get enough. Another thing it seems to help is a natural sun screen if you soak in it (epsom salts).

I've never heard of magnesium to lower sugars. I'll have to ask my Dr about that
