I had my baby girl a week ago and ended up getting a few stitches cause the vacuum tore me , but the past couple of days I have noticed an odor from my vagina , it almost smells like something dead? It's really disgusting I have an appointment tomorrow for a check up but I can't stand it...it's making me feel gross and just sad I'm so self conscious that my SO can smell it ( he says he can't but who knows) I'm doing everything they told me to do I'm just at a loss, I'm just wondering what anyone else's experiences were? If this happened to you? Thanks .. I just don't wanna feel like this :/

The lady (so this is gross but she had to know the exact smell) smelled the bloody pad and said that the odor I have is very normal , she said that when the flow of blood starts to slow down it takes a little longer for it to come out so it then creates an odor , I only need to be concerned if the smell is apparent through my clothing or if I take my underwear off and it immediately is noticeable. The squeeze bottle for rinsing I can fill with water and add a little wash to it and squirt it on there and then use the bottle with non soapy water and rinse it or I can gently wash with my hand no wash cloth and rinse gently. I'm just very self conscious about any kind of odor so it's a bigger deal to me I guess.

I did at my appointment today she said it smelled normal and not like I thought it did

Okay thank you , my grandmother said the same old blood possibly passing through which I've had my baby for a month now and mine didn't smell until about a week or so ago . But i got for my 6 week check up soon so if mine still has an odor I'll definitely get it checked out as well .. again thank you I know what you mean like it's embarrassing to even talk about that's why I get on here instead of asking friends and such . Bc no judgement is being passed and if so it doesn't matter because we're strangers I wanted to ask on here myself and didn't ! Glad to know it's nothing serious .

Me too I hate that I know I smell , in my mind I'm worried that when I get cleared for sex it'll still smell and he will be repulsed by it or something :/ I know that sounds crazy but it's something I worry about
