I'm about your size and my sister tells me the same things as your co-workers all the time. I finally found out it's because she gained 60 lbs with each pregnancy and wants me to do the same- it really bothers her that I'm gaining the recommended amount of weight. It's annoying to have them dismiss how you're feeling- but know they're probably dealing with their own issues for one reason or another.

Try to just ignore them! I know it's easier said than done! Or maybe ask questions, "why do you think you need to tell me I'm small or the worst is yet to happen?" Or say, "I'm trying to only focus on positives so your comments aren't helping"

@kb yeah I know that most of my coworkers that say that were huge with their pregnancies and the main one had gestational diabetes so I know that's why she's bitter , but for real every day is excessive lol I've gained 20 lbs so far (I started at 110) so I'm doing really well and I just passed my gd test unfortunately I'm extremely anemic and have to take two iron supplements a day plus my high iron prenatals lol but I most definitely feel huge lol

Ironically I am about the same size and was told today how big my belly is and Saturday I was told I look like I'm ready to pop... wish everyone would just say you look fantastic and move on!

@kzola the only one to say I'm quite big without saying those words was an Indian heritage man (I'm sorry if that sounds racist I just don't know how else to describe him) he gestured at his belly then pointed at me and immediately asked if it was twins , when I said no just one he asked if it was my second kid, when I said no my first he asked if I planned on having 11 kids, i mean I'm all for being told I look large because it would be a change from the norm but that guy made me feel fat as hell lol

lol I'm so paranoid today, I didn't want to get dressed for work just because of the comments yesterday. People!

Lol @kzola yeah my work shirts no longer fit , they are a size small but my boss refuses to order me a medium so I have to always wear and undershirt or my belly will hang out quite significantly, it's very annoying considering the weather is getting warmer and long sleeves are just too much these days

I get told I'm "small".. Like really?? It annoys me too!

I think the worst part is when they tell you things will get worse and basically act like you couldn't possibly feel awful because you're smaller. They don't seem to understand that, while you may not gain as much as others, gaining 20-25% of your normal body weight within several months is a huge deal for anyone. It may look "small" on you, but it's the exact same thing. Hang in there. We all know what you're going through. ❤️

I don't even listen to people anymore when they say how big or small I seem. As long as my doctor is happy with my progress, I'm good. If I'm feeling kind of grumpy, I might tell the person commenting that my doctor says I'm right on track.

I'm at my 30 weeks too. I think I'm a little smaller than you, but I get the same thing all the time too! People always tell me "just wait till the last month you'll be huge" and "miserable" like thanks guys lol. I don't think we're off from where we're supposed to be though :) I just hope I'm not one of those people once I've had my kid(s) lol.

First of all, you look just as your supposed to. It's your body and your pregnancy and this should be the one time in our lives when we aren't measured against some arbitrary body image.

I agree with the previous comments that everyone likes to project their own pregnancy experiences onto those who are expecting. It's like since when is it ok to comment freely on someone's weight? Back off folks!!!

Yeah I have this coworker that likes to tell me how she couldn't breastfeed because her breasts didn't produce at all, like I don't see how that's something I need to know lol
