Just bought this book from amazon and I'm super excited to read it :) I went to a spring fair here in my town (basically just a medium sized hippie fest not judging just stating it's not much of fair lol) and some girls I had gone to school with had a booth and she had this book and was showing it to me and I could not wait to buy it for myself , it has stories of births , different facts about things that can happen , and lots of helpful tips to help you decide what birth is right for you. I already know I want an "as natural as possible for me" birth I don't want an epidural for personal reasons as well as medical reasons , I will be laboring in a jacuzzi tub and then getting out to push , and doing delayed cord clamping if all that is possible. I understand birth plans don't always happen how we want but I'm hoping my midwife can help me have all that possible :)

I'm reading this now! A lot of the stories are from the seventies so some funny vocabulary but I love it so much! I'm having a natural birth and the birth stories are so lovely and empowering. I also read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth and loved that.

I wanna read that too but I can only get one book every couple weeks right now lol but I'm seriously so excited , I feel once I read it I'm gonna be that much more comfortable with doing a natural birth and I'm gonna feel more relaxed when the time comes :)

You can do it! I had a beautiful med free vaginal birth and it was seriously the most amazing, transformative experience of my life. I seriously felt like super woman after my son's birth. I'm not gonna lie, labor hurt because we was sunny side up until right before I started pushing (thank goodness) but after he came out, the most amazing sense of calm came over me. I am not necessarily looking forward to labor again but I am looking forward to that feeling again post birth with kid two. This time I'm having a home birth and hopefully a water birth. Good luck and keep surrounding yourself and your consciousness with positivity. We're made to do this!

I honestly am very excited to experience it all, I am talking with my midwife at my next appointment about my birth plan and how I would like to see executed so we shall see :) I've had a 100% healthy pregnancy so far and have had no reason to believe that is gonna change so I'm hoping everything goes how I want it to :) I'm hoping this book also helps me gain more confidence in my own body :)
