Well poop
So I'm gonna be straight forward, I can't poop. I have taken a stool softener everyday for a week, only a little happens at a time, it physically hurts of there's anyone you ladies can recommend that would be great. I'm a first time mom so I'm not sure how to deal with this , I'm 23 weeks 4 days.

Milk of magnesia. Trust me when I say follow the directions though.

Milk of magnesia has been my only form of short term relief. For long term relief I take probiotics everyday!

An Enema will make you go within a couple of mins.

This happen to me and it honestly felt like I was having contractions every time I tried to go. Finally after a week I took a mild laxative and I was able to go.

And it gets worse once you have the baby!!! It's so bad!!
I'm 12 weeks post partum and oh boy has it been hard!!
The only way I can go is if I drink a full glass of prune juice in the morning and at night... it keeps me going regularly! If I forget to drink it... I won't go! It sucks

I was also having some problems with constipation. I added a bunch of hemp hearts (unshelled hemp seeds) into my diet- a few tbsp per day - added into my food, such as yogurt, smoothies, even pasta etc. This helped me immensely (and also helped me get my protein levels up!). Good luck!

I take a stool softener one in the morning and one at night and I add fiber to my water every day. This has helped but if I am still a little stopped up I take what's called Peri-colace - it is a stool softener with a mild laxative that helps get things going.

I started making smoothies everyday and it has helped! I had no luck with the softeners either. I don't have an exact recipe but I use a variety of fresh and frozen fruits, flax seed, plain Greek yogurt, water and juice. I try to make sure I have peaches and lots of berries. If my nausea isn't too bad, I'll put in spinach and/or avocado. If I skip a day, I notice I'm constipated again the next day. They taste good and my kids come running when they hear the blender now, lol!

I dealt with horrible constipation in my first 2 pregnancies but have had no problems with it in my 3rd. Plexus biocleanse has helped me a ton!

You can add more fiber and take laxatives to help you can also try going after you eat a full meal. It sometimes makes it easier. If you're still having trouble talk to your doctor about other options.

Cut our cheese if you haven't already. It causes constipation. Also prunes saved my life in early pregnancy. I ate at least 5 a day. I recommend the dried ones since the jarred ones have tons of unnecessary sugar.

Try colace. It helped me so much and it's very gentle on the stomach.

I struggled with constipation the first few months of this pregnancy and nothing seemed to work until I tried this.....first thing in the morning (and about an hour before I eat anything) I take a warm cup of water, mix in the juice from 1/2 a lemon, 2 tbs. apple cider vinegar (the good kind, like Bragg's...organic with "the mother" in it), and a few dashes of cayenne pepper...it worked wonders. I have not struggled since. It tastes awful but has helped my constipation, gas and bloating, and heartburn. I will also drink a cup of warm water with 2 tbs. apple cider vinegar about an hour before every meal. It helps with digestion and boosts your metabolism! There is a lot of research indicating that apple cider vinegar has a multitude of health benefits.

WHile this probably isnt the answer you want..... I was struggling really bad with constipation after having a kidney stone because of meds I was given. I didnt go for 10 days and I could physically feel my intestines running out of space. My fiance brought home an at home enema kit for me. And while It wasnt the most pleasant experience in the world It fixed me up right away. Once I was able to get going I have been taking probiotics and eating lots of fiber since and havent had that issue again. So if you get desperate..... I suggest an enema. You will feel so much better.

Prune juice!! I was trying meta-mucil and it was not doing anything, but prune juice works. I drink a glass.

Baking soda in water. About a tablespoon per shot glass of water. I promise you'll go.

Same here. It's so uncomfortable. Also tried stool softener with no success. Honestly, if you just eat right, it will happen. Lots of fruits, veggies and beans and water. After maybe 4 days of this, I finally pooped today.

Miralax powder works amazing for me!
