Are any of you other mama's experiencing extreme bloody noses ? I literally wake up to walls of dry blood in my nose making it hard to breathe and throughout the day I have to excuse myself at work just to make it stop long enough to continue my shift:/ yesterday I sneezed blood all over myself, it was embarrassing and like a period coming out of my face. I went to the er last night and they just told me to use a saline solution and gave me a nasal clamp to use when it happens but it's just constant :/I just hope it's not just me I feel terribly broken :(

I've never gotten nose bleeds before being pregnant.
You have an increase in blood flowing through your body when you're pregnant so the blood vessels in your nose just pop way easier now.
Sometimes I'll be sitting at work and I feel something wet by my nose and it's a full on nose bleed. Like seriously -______-

It's so painful, like probably really childish to say but it's like my nose has taken over the period role :/

Get that checked out...you may have hurt yourself and not even realized it.

Yea I've had them a bunch and I'm 9 months. It's normal for it to hurt too if its dried out and you have had them a bunch.

Ok, this sounds weird but I'm totally serious: have you tried putting a bit of Vaseline jelly just inside the nostrils? I swear it's doctor recommended.

I went to er already but even though my nose was still bleeding when he looked inside it he said he couldn't see where it was coming from but he barely looked , I'm calling my midwife tomorrow to see what she wants me to do they said that saline solution was okay just nothing medicated, I've done vaseline I like to do carmex the lip balm it smells weird but works nice but it's just super painful and literally non stop even when it's not flowing out its still bleeding enough to make scabs that block my nostrils :/

I've been bleeding throughout this whole pregnancy, I'm 36 weeks. This is my daily routine. I wake up and use the gentle mist nasal spray to flush out my nose, then use a nose lubricator to lubricate my nose. I just put a small amount with a q-tip and massage inside. Through out the day I put a bag of ice on my nose and spray a spearmint spray around where I'm sitting to open up my nose. At night which is when it's the worst, I use my humidifier. So far far I've been able to tame it. I realize my nose bleeds as soon as I work up a sweat or I'm in the heat. I have my vents in the bedroom closed and I don't turn on the heat in my car. The winter is very dry and causes nose bleeds. This is the only thing that's worked for me ! I've been to the ER twice and several doctors and to a nose and throat doctor, no one could help me all they would say is "keep it moist"
