Have any of you ladies had a medium rare steak and everything was fine? Did your doctor say it was okay? I'm craving steak like crazy and that's the only way I like it lol

I used to eat it super rare. But I've switched to medium since becoming pregnant. From what I've read and what my doctor said as long as it's hot in the middle it's ok to eat. :-)

I only like it medium rare but it gives a much higher risk of getting sick from the bacteria so I haven't risked it & just suck it up & eat only well done.. it's not forever so it'll be a nice reward after the baby.. but to each their own

I always have mine medium rare. As long as it's not dripping blood you should be fine. Have the steak butterflied if you're nervous.

I've had medium rare steak several times. I try to make it a little more toward medium, but if it's a little too pink for me I'll stick it in the micro for a few to give it some extra cooking. I'm 36+1 now and everything is fine. It's more of a precaution on the side of food poisoning than anything. As long as it's hot enough you'll be fine

I had 3 during my pregnancy all medium rare. Baby girl is almost 4 weeks old and healthy!

My fave thing to order. I've been eating it well done. The slightest pink scares me right now. So I rather just eat it well done until I have the baby.

That's the only way I eat my steak and we have steak quite often. 28 weeks and everything is fine.

I might just wait until 2nd trimester to be safe lol this is the farthest I've been so I don't want anything to go bad

I ate it with my son and he is fine and have had it with this one. Everything in moderation.

Well done.... I love it juicy and pink but some things I have to stick to is making sure my food is well cooked.

I love mine medium rare but I've just left it and ordered well done until after the baby is here. To be on the safe side! Something else I can't wait to eat though..... PATE!!!! ?

Normally I would get my steak medium but I've opted to not eat it if I can't have it the way I want.

Once. Everything was fine but I felt a little guilt afterwards. I decided to stick to only fully cooked foods until after baby is here. As tasty as a med rare is, it's not long that I'm giving it up for.

I can't eat steak unless it is bloody so I am just staying away from them. I'd rather go without than eat a well done one ?

As long as it is steak and not ground up, you can eat it just seared on the outside. Bacteria cannot penetrate the surface, so as long as that is cooked the bacteria is gone. Eat that bloody meat all you want!
