SO and I talked about this before. We decided that if something went wrong we'd save me over the baby. And that goes for during pregnancy as well. If something happened and they needed baby out now but wouldn't survive outside the womb, we choose to save me.

My older kids need me more than another sibling. Sounds awful but its the truth.

Obviously if both of us can be saved then that's what will happen, if not then just me.

I believe in a medical life threatening emergency, they save their patient... which is you. Your child isn't their patient until birth so if they baby is still inside, mom is the most important thing

If imagine if would be the call of your next of kin, should the situation allow for it. My mother knows my wishes (as she technically still has the power to make those decisions on my behalf, not my fiance).

My husband and I have discussed this, and as heartbreaking as it would be, I'd rather them save me. I have two earthside daughters already that need their mama, and there's always a huge chance in situations like that the baby I'm carrying now would have health problems and possibly pass away even if she survived the birth. I can't do that to my family.

As bad as it sounds me. So many people rely on me on a daily basis.

Yes, I did change my username. Lol. I didn't really announce it cuz I'm not really known so I didnt think anyone would notice. I was YoliM82 before. I asked the mods to change it to something Alice in Wonderland related :)

I'd want the baby to be saved, what me and my mom did is write out like a letter/list thing that states everything I want and included if something were to go wrong I want my baby saved and I signed it

Sorry. I don't have an answer for your question. Not really. This is my first kid. DH would save me. If it was our second kid, he'd save me. Our other kid would need a mother.

In a medical situation they go off of 1 of 2 things. 1) your closest relative: spouse then children (adult ), parents, siblings. Or 2) do you have a healthcare power of attorney. I strongly recommend getting one. It designates who makes your medical decisions in the event you are unable too. This can be anyone. I always recommend picking the person you know would honor your wishes.

The team does absolutely everything possible to save both. It's never between one or the other. This is WHY emergency C-sections are performed.
