Oh the guilt!!! ?
Why? Well I had a horrible day at work yesterday and was so emotional and exhausted afterward. I picked up my son from school and went home. I went to lay down for a bit before making dinner and I knocked out! I didn't wake up till after 11pm! I got up quickly. My son was already in bed asleep. This is the second time during my pregnancy that this happens. My son doesn't wake me up either. All he says the next day is, "You were really tired huh mom?" I feel so bad ???

He'll be 12 in April. My little man. I feel horrible. The only thing that makes me feel ok is that he is such an independent boy. Meaning that he knows how to do things for himself. When I cook something and he doesn't feel like eating it, he goes to the fridge and makes himself a sandwich and grabs fruit. So I know he ate. Sometimes we come home and he starts washing clothes too. Lol. But still! ?

How old is your son? Does he go to bed without dinner then? You don't have a so that helps?

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. He's 12 and knows how to make himself food. I'm sure he would wake you if he needed you.

Maybe, get some quick meals for him to eat, and show him how to do them to be safe. I am sure you feel guilty, but he is 12 and I am sure he understands.

This is the second time in the last 4-5 months that this happens. I know it's bad and I feel horrible about it. It didn't happen purposely. But I have some making up to do.

At 12 I was home alone until right before bed time. I thought you ment a toddler. Next time set an alarm

At 12 I was making my own meals after school at home alone or with my little sister until at least 6 pm. I know you feel guilty, but at least you're in the house if he absolutely NEEDS something. And it's not like it's all the time. Don't beat yourself up momma. At least he let you sleep!

Ok I'm back. Lol. Thank you all for your words. Almost out from work. I'll make sure to set alarms from now on if I feel I need a little rest! And I'll get him a little something since the guilt hasn't completely subsided ?
