I got my cervix checked on Saturday, lost my mucous plug and my water broke the next morning. It doesn't happen often but it def can go ahead and make labor come on, they're sure that's what happened in my situation!

I think since your cervix is angry with BV/yeast, any little more aggravation (already tender and irritated) she didn't want to make it any angrier. You're inflamed and it could very well put you over the edge!!

He's already making me nervous with how much pressure he's applying. I can't go into labor until 39 weeks, I'm not ready lol.

My doctor doesn't do cervix checks till 38-39 weeks. Some people dilate slow, some people fast, so I don't think it really tells you much. It does potentially introduce bacteria and can cause you to get more infections, or go into labour.

I don't really care about getting one either way because I don't want false hopes. But now I really don't want one.

This is the reason I'm not having checks at all. They're uncomfortable enough without considering the risks. My uterus stays angry throughout pregnancy.
