3D/4D Who all is going to pay for one of these private scans and how far along do you plan to be? I…

We paid for one at 16 weeks to find out gender. We were going to do one at around 28 weeks but decided we wanted to be surprised with what he looks like.

Becka, I saw him earlier on in 3D as well but he just looked weird to me then lol. I'm just anxious to see if I can tell if he looks more like me or his dad.

I was told best time is 28-32 weeks because they have enough fat on their face. Before 28 they kinda look like skeletons and after 32 they get too squished. I would say 28 incase baby is in awkward position and they can't get the face that gives you time to reschedule for another appointment.

Last time my doctor did it for free and without asking if I wanted one. I'm sure most would be glad but I actually didn't want to see. I would rather wait, same with gender. I believe I was around 32 weeks but im not sure.

I was contemplating doing one. I had one done at 14.2 for gender and I didn't do one with my boys but I'm so anxious to find out what baby girl looks like. I will already have to have extra scans due to VCI so I'm hoping I can see her for free with one of those scans. Lol

I'll be doing it around 29 weeks. This is the time I did it with my son and it was great experience. Crazy how identical the scans look to his newborn photos

I am doing one at 28 weeks, much later than that and they said the baby maybe head down and not get a clear picture of the face. It's cost me £100 but I get to double check the gender and get loads of extras.

I did and it was soooo worth it !!

I'm going for my birthday at 28 or 29 weeks depending on when hubby has off work. Did it with my first at 30 and it was the coolest EVER looked just like daddy

We're gonna do one. My dr said to do it around 28 weeks so that's what I'm gonna do. Just 8 more weeks!

We got one done with my daughter and I loved it! We went around 27 weeks. The place I went to doesn't recommend going to much later than 28 weeks because then baby is all squished in there and they have a little chub already so they look less like an alien haha

We plan to get one with this little one too
