Pain in the ass... literally
Pain in the ass... literally
I was sitting on the floor folding clothes and all of a sudden I started feeling pain in my left buttock. I'm now laying in bed and it still hurts. Is this sciatica? ?

Sounds like it! My left butt cheek will start to burn, then turns into shooting pain down to my leg. It's awful!
I've noticed sitting certain ways makes it much worse. And occasionally is shoots up my back, and that's the worst!
I plan on starting some simple yoga stretches aimed at sciatic nerve pain relief tomorrow :)

That does sound awful! It's contained to my left butt cheek for now. The stretches are a good idea, I will look some up!

Worst pain! I get them from work. Have for years. Dreading the days baby sits there :( :( hasn't happened yet.

Heating pad works great too!

I had it with my first, and now I just started getting it this week with this baby. With my first, stretching and walking actually felt better than sitting or lying down. But those things aren't working this time around. However last night as i was trying to get comfortable, I did find that lying down on the opposite side of the pain (mine is in my right cheek, and shoots down my right thigh, so lying down on my left side) has been really helpful in the last day in relieving it almost instantly.

Yep, I've had it a few times already and it is not fun! Shoots down to my knee most of the time.

Feeling the same way. Is it too early to feel this pain? I'm only 16 weeks.

Yesssss I have a pain deep in my right buttcheek ... And pain in my lower back , right hip and it sometimes goes to my calf
What are you guys doing to help relieve the pain? Or are you just dealing with it
NewMommy·
I've personally just been dealing with it. I've always been that way though, suck it up and deal.

Yup. I had that pain for 9 years non stop. Couldn't even walk. It was a result of a car accident. Anyway I would suggest cat/cow stretches and heat. Also lots of core stretches help a lot
