11w4d and celebrating the fact that I heard a heartbeat that was 160. All my blood tests were great. Except I'm apparently not immune to chicken pox like I thought I was ?. Midwife asked if I'm a runner since my heart rate is so low, which I usually am and also a weight lifter. Not as much lately but I try to keep it up. And I also have a great Chipotle belly going on in that picture. Which by the way tore up my stomach so never again until after I give birth lol.

Congrats! I also found out that I'm not immune to chicken pox. Will be getting my vaccine right after I deliver.

My doctor told me some parents have "pox parties" & if one kid comes down with chicken pox they invite all of their friends kids over to expose them to the pox because I guess that's better than getting vaccinated ?

@ljabde that is true - when I was kid that's what my mom did to me and my brother. We both got chicken pox and now are immune. Also it is better to have chicken pox when you are a child - less complications than when you are adult. It is especially dangerous to pregnant women - can cause miscarriage. So it is made sure that all little girls get it early on - that's Poland for you :)

I had chickenpox as a child but I'm still not immune. Midwife said it's more and more common to lose immunity, that's why they just test everyone.

That must be an American thing. We don't get tested here in Canada. Part of our 15M vaccines for little ones is the chicken pox immunization
