I actually work in a blood lab and it depends which test they order but usually with the first test they will give you the drink then an hour later draw your blood. If that test is abnormal they will have you not eat or drink then do a fasting and then do a longer test like a 3 hour test... :) good luck!!!

I didn't have blood taken before. Just after.

I did my first test last Friday and had the drink then they took my blood. Idk why they would take blood before....
