Go to a urologist. There is surgery or embolisation that can fix the vericocele but it may not/probably wont restore fertility. My husband opted to just do the ivf since the surgery probably wouldnt make enough difference. We are now considering doing the surgery for his comfort.
My husband has that. Surgery can potentially fix it, but there are no guarantees. After surgery, you have to wait a few months to see if the counts go up. We didn't want to wait, especially for something that might not work, so we went straight to IVF.
We had to do icsi. They inject the sperm directly into the egg. So you only need as many sperm as you have eggs. Traditional ivf probably would not have worked.
My hubby had a varicocele. Your friends hubby would see a urologist for that. My hubby had the surgery but his semen analysis was significantly worse several months later. We are now moving onto IVF with ICSI. It is successful for some and may improve count and quality or it might not. There are no guarantees. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply. For some reason one doctor told them that they have small chance of getting pregnant even with IVF.
