I'm homozygous for MTHFR C677T also. I'm on lovenox and baby asa. Before they found out I had 6 chemical pregnancies, after I started lovenox I got pregnant but had a mmc at 8wks due to a paternal chromosomal abnormality, got pregnant again but had a mmc at 8wks blighted ovum. But the next cycle got pregnant and now I'm almost 30wks w a big healthy baby girl!!! Our rainbow. So the meds definitely got me where I am today (the loses had nothing to do w MTHFR as I explained) so there's lots of hope and a positive future with the right meds!!! You will get your rainbow!

Yes I know many in my family and friends I'm Herero MTHFR but those with both I know that are successful get lovenox shots and take active folate. Gluten and dairy free may also help. Hugs. Check MTHFR dot net. Hope this helps.
I'm going to see my Dr this Thursday but I wanted to get some info before seeing her. I really hope this is the only reason why I had miscarriages and with the right treatment I can finally have my rainbow baby.
Hi! I am the same as you. However, I've never had a m/c. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant. You need to take folate, not folic acid. Also methylated b vitamins. You have to buy special prenatal vitamins. I'm currently not eating dairy or gluten, but plan to occasionally have it once I'm further along. Oh yeah, I also take 800 MG of vit e to help thin the blood. It's supposed to be better than baby asprin.

Yeah, I had ectopic pregnancies before so we thought my tube were the only things stopping us from having a baby. We had to do in vitro (no more tubes) and both tries ended with miscarriage. I just can't wait to hear everything is good and to hold my baby in my arms.
Angelaviolet thank you ? Yeah I wasn't sure if you have to do them in your bottom or not because I don't think I could do that and my husband definitely could not handle giving me injections ? My Dr app is tomorrow at 10:30. I'm excited and hopefully soon we can start preparing for FET.
Lovenox itself burns but very quick and not bad. The needle itself is small and thin so minor discomfort. You will bruise so don't be scared. They should show you the proper technique and if they don't ask before you leave. You can always ask me too but it's easier if u can see it.
So I talked to my Dr yesterday regarding this mutation and he said that they will test for homocysteine and if it's it positive they will put me on baby aspirin if it's negative they won't do anything. I guess I'm just a little confused and frustrated. I thought that the mutation already is bad enough and something should be done. Maybe I don't understand that mthfr well.

I did them in my stomach until my belly really popped then I started to do them on the top of my thighs(still do)
