Heavy Bleeding and Cramping but Baby is Okay?
Heavy Bleeding and Cramping but Baby is Okay?
Hey ladies I have been to the ER twice now for bleeding and cramping. First time was more spotting and wasn't very painful, but yesterday it was heavy, bright red blood and very painful cramps. I went to the ER expecting them to tell me I lost my baby, but when we did the ultrasound the heart was beating even stronger and my little bean is perfectly fine so far. ❤ They basically told me they have no idea why I'm bleeding so much and to only come in if I start having clotting in my blood and to just take it easy for the next couple weeks. I'm very confused and scared and I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? ?

Yeah it happened to me at 12,14 and 16 weeks. Not a lot but bright red blood all 3 times my doctor doesnt know why but baby. Will be 17 weeks tomorrow. She said that some women just bleed and that most likely it was going to happen again. My cramps where not as bad but she said that when you worry cramps get worse so maybe thats why your cramps were so painful not that i wasnt worried but this last time i was a little less worried since it has happened twice already. How far along are you?

I'm only 6 weeks 4 days that's why it's so scary because I know the rate for a miscarriage is really high especially with so much bleeding.

At 6 weeks you can also be having implantation bleeding. Dont worry hun specially if they are checking you and the baby us fine.

That's a possibility they said but I just hope everything's okay. Thank you ❤

Could be a subcorionic hematoma. I was bleeding and they didn't know why even after ultrasounds. Finally they say the hematoma. Stay hydrated, feet elevated as much as possible and absolutely no sex or anything of the sort ( self stimulation, anal sex) if it is a hematoma it will eventually resolve itself.

I bled from my positive pregnancy test, then every week up until delivery. (Which was 12 days ago and he was born very early at only 26 weeks) my pregnancy started off as twins then lost one at 6 weeks, I had a subchronic hematoma and part of my placenta had died and tore. This is were my bleeding was coming from. It was bright red, clotty and VERY heavy which caused my waters to break at 22 weeks and managed to hold him in a further 4 week. I was filling a pad up with blood in one gush (sorry TMI) but he's here and he's doing well.
Stay hydrated, rest as much as you can, no lifting, no sex or orgasms!!

Thank you ladies!! I hope that's what it is. I have my next appointment on Tuesday, so I'll ask about that. I appreciate your feedback, it definitely helps ease my mind. ?❤
