Hi ladies! I'm new to this forum and have a few questions. I had my baby, Milo, on 11/03/15 at 33 weeks gestation. (EDD 12/19) He weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and was 17 inches long. He's doing very well in the NICU. He's been nursing everytime I visit and chugging the milk I pumped like mad. He's a little jaundice, but the light seems to have helped a lot.

Yes less intensive and preparation to come home..mostly will learn to feed and gain weight.

Yep, less intensive and the babies require less attention. You may find each nurse had more babies to take care of which means less one on one attention but that is ok usually because they typically don't stay there for more than a couple of weeks. My son was there 2-3 weeks before discharge. They usually have to be done with ivs and major meds before being moved

Same as pp. At our nicu they called it the feeder grower side. Just practice eating to get really good so they can go home. Usually nothing else to do but eat and grow. The nurses usually have more babies assigned to them so they usually can't spend as much time with one baby or family.
My son was a 28 weeker. He was in the nicu for 7 weeks. The last 2 weeks was on the feeder grower side.
