Hi ive had three sections first was an emergency & last 2 were planned. I think initially I found it more painful but I think I recovered quicker. The key thing I found was to rest. Having two others at home I often got tempted to do more than I should & then I paid for it. Keep up with your pain relief regularly for at the least the first two weeks. If there's anything else you want to know I'm happy to answer x
I've had 1 emergency and 2 elective csections my 1st was the worse recovery for me,, but the 3rd gave me pains I've never felt before with any of the other 2, I used my full prescription of pain killers and had to buy some from the shop too, they were very sharp pains and not been able to get up of the sofa but I'm not sure if that was just because of how I was stitched up or maybe it was because I was doing to much with my 18 month old daughter, saying that though my recovery was quick the pains were worse from around 3 days and I still get the odd twinge now 6 months later
This post makes me a little scared for my third, I can only take paracetamol as I'm allergic to everything else now. I can take oramorph but not overly good for baby if I'm feeding.
With my first I wasn't allergic and had cocodamol, and strong ibroprofen. Aswel as oramorph when the pain got really bad. It turned out I had an infection which took them 2 weeks in hospital to figure out! What I learnt from that was, if it doesn't feel right get checked by the midwife and ask for stronger pain relief xxx

Go Hun I've has 3 the 3rd 4 weeks ago and it was by far the worst! I found the other two fine , was up & walking within 6 hours but this one was awful although I did have a few complications but after about the first 2/3 days I started to feel better, went home on day 4 and been find since honestly after the first week felt back to normal but them first few days wee terrible & I did feel like it would never get better. Hope you feel better soon xxx
Had my 3rd 4 months ago.. First was fine second was awful took a long time to recover.. This was was the best by far. I had my tubes tied too so worst part was the trapped wind agony. Get-up as soon as poss rest and keep up with pain killers.. I never had after pains this time did with my second thou xx
I'm up have been since day i had him I have a 21 month old and a 4 yr old with several disabilities I'm normally fine with pain midwife thinks it's because he was stuck they had to use forceps to get. Him out and took forever :( x

Thank you for replying my first was an emergency too I'm in so much pain it's unbearable and I'm usually really good with pain I'm a wreck ? x
