we got someone else's mail once and I took the time to phone the numbers on it etc to get the letter to the person. People told me it was dumb and just to return to sender but it was overseas mail.

Turns out the person was a CEO of a big food company and sent me a box of products for my troubles ?

I usually send back if it's important mail like greeting cards etc.

So who knows, you might get 10% of his million dollar win ;)

Imagine if it was a winning ticket? There is absolutely no way I could live with myself if we kept it.
