Gender announcement ! So, I find out in just two days (37 hours to be exact, but who's counting!!!)…

We are also announcing with a cake

We had that planned but baby didn't co operate so no cake for us. We ended up doing balloons and popped holes in the colour that we weren't having. Then everyone chose what colour they thought the babies sex was and blew them up. If they didn't inflate then that's how they knew

I'm so scared baby won't show us, haha.

That's a great idea.. I'd love that, but my sister can't blow up balloons due to hearing problems, so that probably won't go down so well for us.. lol. At least if I make a cake, we can eat it afterwards ;) hahah.

You should have the sonogram tech not show you the sex of the baby. Instead have her write it down and put it in a sealed envolope. Then take that envolope to the bakery and order a cake with the gender color on the inside. You could do frosting or cake color. You can do this with cupcakes too.

In Australia no sonographer will write the sex down on a piece of paper as they are liable if the baby comes out the opposite sex to be sued. That's originally what we wanted but we're refused due to those guide lines and had to find out :(

My SO and I thought having it written in an envelope, but we want to find out the gender first. It'll feel more special that way. But I do want to surprise my family is a cute way :)
