I was there about two hours. I was kept waiting for 15 mins, then in the scan room for 15. After that I went to another little waiting area where I could purchase the scan photograph. Waited a little while and I then saw another lady who took my bloods, tested urine, took weight and blood pressure etc. Then I had to wait for reception to book in my 20 week scan and hand me my notes. So it could take a while depending on how busy they are :)
I’m not in UK but I remember for my 12 week scan with my son he was not getting into position so I had to leave to eat lunch and come back so it did take a long time.
This time (today) baby was a little crazy but settled down and they got the shots they needed in 35 mins.
Aww glad everything went ok for you. I’m so nervous but so excited at the same time for mine. Counting the days. Seems like Iv waited a lifetime since my 9 week scan
Mine took about an hour for the scan. Bub has to be in the right position for them to get what they need, so it can take a while for them to cooperate lol
My first scan is Friday!! Shame we have to wait sooo long! It doesn’t take that long ? just Incase they are running behind! Scan is normally 15 mins max then blood work if you agree to it normally out within a hour x

Oh ok. Thank you. Only used to going to epu so they just scan and your gone.. never got this far before so all new for me :)

I guess for delays they want you prepared, they also do blood work, weight etc
