Trigger friend had a missed miscarriage
Trigger friend had a missed miscarriage
I have a good friend who just had her second missed miscarriage she doesn't have any living babies and they were very excited for this baby who made it further than first. My question is how do I help her for the ladies that have been through horrible situation what helped you guys what did you need or ask from friends. I don't know if I should give her some space or if I should. Call and text her more I just would like some insight on how I can help her.

I would just text or call her (however you usually communicate) and let her know that you're sorry for her loss and are here for her whenever she needs you.
That way she is fully aware that you are there to support her, if and when, she does need you, but she also has her space if she wants it. Everyone grieves differently so it's best to show your support without being overbearing, which is what I see you're trying to do. Hope your friend heals soon ?

First I'm so sorry for your friend that is such a hard loss it is so misunderstood.
Second, I know when I lost my last baby I didn't want to be visited. My best friend forced her way in anyways and it really didn't help. It actually hurt our relationship. That being said I am a very private person so I just needed my time to grieve. I would have appreciated a call or maybe some flowers with a card.
Third, My best friend also brought her 1 year old when she came to see me in the hospital and that ripped my heart to pieces. I felt like why would you bring what I wanted so bad and rub it in my face.
These were just my thought OP you know your friend better than anyone and I commend you for even trying to reach out because some people avoid you like the plague. Good thoughts and prayers for your friend! ❤️❤️
And I second what PP said I can see how great of a friend you are because you are trying not to be too much in her space. She is very lucky and blessed to have a friend like you! ❤️

Take her out for lunch and drinks without your kids

Id text her and let her know how sorry you are. Tell her you are there for her whenever she needs you, and you always have a listening ear available. Definitely don't force your way in. When I had my miscarriage I wanted to be alone. I cried all the time, so I couldn't imagine losing 2. The text will allow her space, but also let her know you are there for her. She can respond in her own time and not be forced into conversation like she would a phone call or you just popping up. And if she ever is ready for visitors, do it without your kids if possible.

It really depends on her. Some need to be comforted. For me, when it happens I just want to be left in peace for a while (which his family does NOT understand). You'll have to suss it out.

If just get her a nice card with a gift card to somewhere she likes, like here treat yourself.
In the card I'd let her know you are there if she needs to talk and you're thinking of her. I'd include a target or Starbucks gift card, if she doesn't like that then I'd do a place she can get her nails done. Little things that I can treat myself with always helps me feel better, even if it's only temporary.
I'm sorry she's going through this :(

All my friends brought us dinners after our missed miscarriages. It was the best thing ever because I didn't want to think about feeding anyone, I could just sit and process my grief.
Every one grieves differently, so it's hard to know what else to do. I just wanted to be left alone. It took me a long time before I wanted to talk about, or even acknowledge my losses with anyone but close family. Just let her know you are there for her. She will definitely appreciate that.
