Oh, blue ? I'm so sorry for your situation. I hope that you can get to the bottom of this for your lo. You're not failing! Failing would be you completely ignoring her feelings (my mom did this to me). I'll be keeping you in my thoughts ?
Your not a "shatty" mother. That guys a pos person who deserves to be in jail. I hope the police are looking into the brides videos and pictures to find this pos. I have faith that your daughter will move on from this with therapy and support from you.
You are not a shatty mother blue. The sick is who do things like that are predators in every sense of the word. They are pure evil and unfortunately usually highly intelligent (the stupid ones get caught early). They hone their "skills" constantly and so weasel in. You're doing everything right getting her professional help that's experienced in this sort of thing. Hugs for you and your baby.
You have not failed your child. The best thing you and your husband can do is be there for her. Let her know that you will keep her safe. Allow her to express herself the way she sees fit. Validate her emotions. I was sexually assaulted at 4 years old by a family member. I never once blamed my parents or sisters for not protecting me. They had taken on much of the blame which impacted them more than it did myself. It is important to work together and not allow this to pull you all a part. I will be praying for you and your family. Counseling is a great idea. Definitely, participate in family counseling after she has successfully completed individual counseling. It sounds like you and your husband could also benefit from counseling.

You did not fail her. It's a horrible thing that happened but it wasn't your fault.
Have you considered taking her to see a therapist to help her work through her emotions & fears?
I'm so sorry that happened to her & I hope you guys are able to heal ?
