If it was off a buy and sell site than you should report him to the admins. It's not okay that he did that to you! Even though he finally coughed up the money that was owed for the item, had you not checked he would of gotten away with ripping you off. So sorry that he tried to do that to you but so glad that you caught him!

That guys a scumbag! I've been lucky so far not be ripped off, but this is why I like to have my bf around when I do the exchange cuz he's a lot more careful and street smart than me. I trust people too much and don't like to count the money in front of the person either. This story taught me not to give two ??'s now though lol.

Being covered in ink and knowing martial arts that a random person wouldn't know you practice won't stop someone from being ripped off pp. Some of the gentlest people I know have a s*** load of ink and some of the toughest that people would be fools to mess with have zero.

I sold a $200 speaker to a guy a couple months ago. He offered me $150 so I went for it because we needed the money. After he bailed the first time we were supposed to meet, he said he could do $125. I said okay fine whatever. Well he finally came and got it one day (after like 3 weeks of saying he was coming), I had my fiancé go outside and meet with him because he sketched me out. This dude gave us $119 and the best part is that at least $50 of it was all in ones. ? Like thanks dude.

I had something like this happen to me. I can't remember what I was selling but it was for $20. The lady came by, gave me a $20 bill rolled up, and then got in her car. I unrolled the $20 and it was only half the bill! I was lucky to catch her before she left, got another $20, and gave her the ripped one. People think you don't pay attention but we do when it comes to money.

My town is petty enough so that if anyone tries to pull that, they're put on blast. Rude, but effective.
