Dd just got home from school complaining of a horrible headache. She was almost crying she's never had a headache before. Or at least one where she complains about. She also has a slight fever. She says bellow her ears hurt and nothing else. No runny nose or cough. Besides ibuprofen is there anything else i can do for her? She's laying down right now

Honestly, I'd be calling her dr. Children shouldn't get headaches that severely. Idk,I'm pretty cautious with things like that. I remember my first migraine.

The fever part scares me the most thats going along with the headache. I'd call her pediatrician

My daughter would always get a pretty bad headache when she got strep throat. I'd get her checked out just in case.

Water. Don't make her drink too much or it'll upset the sodium/potassium balance, that's lethal. The headache could be associated with the fever. Call the nurse line, you might need to spend a lovely time at the ER or Urgent Care to get her checked out.

Below her ears sound like lymph nodes and swollen lymph nodes are usually strep
