It it or am I wrong?
Dhs mom is coming to visit this weekend. Apparently she invited her ex sil to come along with her two daughters and their husky. That dog sheds so much. And last time they came she threw up on our carpet and they didn't even clean it. So I asked dh to please tel them I don't mind them coming but I don't want the dog here. We are moving next weekend an I'm packing and cleaning the house. I don't need another dog to shed everywhere and make a mess. Is it wrong for me to ask that? ?

That's not wrong at all to ask. I'd be more put out by MIL inviting extra people than bringing a dog ? but that's just me I love animals.

Trust me Im very upset she just invited them. They are free loaders and eat everything and have no manners. Makes my blood boil just thinking about them.

Nope not coming to help. They are coming to just be a burden.

I'd tell Dh to grow a pair and tell his mom this is not the right time to come and visit, and to never invite anyone else to visit without FIRST checking with you guys to see if it's okay...
Tell him to make mil un invite, rude sil....

Not rude at all!! Mil should not be inviting other people as well. I would have said something about that too.

I'd tell mil that she's welcome to visit alone because you will be busy packing. Or just welcome them all but tell them the dog isn't welcome.

Absolutely not.

That's such a terrible time to visit! I personally would ask them to wait until we are moved in settled, but I don't think it's rude of you to ask to leave the dog behind. I think it's rude to automatically assume you can bring your animal to someone else's house, that you won't even bother cleaning up after. Sil used to bring her little dog to visit all the time at our old place. Our landlords didn't want pets at all. First few times I let it slide because I truly like that dog, but then she started plopping the dog on our bed or on our couch. ✋ nope get your mutt off my furniture.

This is like the worst time for a visit ever. Especially people who weren't even invited coming along for fun!
Nope I'd tell dh he's gotta cancel, anyone with any sense should understand that it's not a good time.

Dh has no balls to face his family. So I'm stuck being the bad guy here but I i have things to do around the house. I can't just have them over and entertain. It's frustrating.

I have an Alaskan malamute and with the weather getting colder, she's already started growing her winter coat and is shedding everywhere! I would be annoyed if I were you.

Who the heck visits in the middle of moving? That's ridiculous. Its not really a good time for house guests, much less a random dog.
deleted-user·
I'd tell her the extra guests are not invited and that you don't have the time, energy, or space to put up with that nonsense

My grandparents have a husky and oh my god, he sheds WAY to much. I'd contact my MIL and tell her that she cannot bring the dog. If she don't like it than she doesn't have to come ???
