They eat everything and anything!! But they are super cute and can be really friendly if they are socialized!

Know they are little escape artists so have really good fencing in place. They can be mischievous and get into things too lol. They make awesome pets and tons of personality. Make sure they don't have any illnesses and come from a reputable source. Especially if you're looking to have milk goats.

If you milk the goats can you drink it straight or do you have to boil it ?

Okay.... So yes they eat lots of things. My goats hated sumac trees, I'm not sure if it was their personality, or if all goats don't eat them. But pretty much anything else is fair game for them. They need shelter(duh) and lots of clean water daily. They are grazers and can eat lots of food during the day, but they do need to be supplemented.

Goats can be very lovable and make great pets, but you have to get the right kind. Pygmies tend to be a little bit more agressive than other breeds. And goats go through the terrible twos! It's best to get babies so they can really bond with you. Also, goats can get sick and when they do, it's usually pretty serious. I always reccomend building two shelters that are not right next to each other, and that have completely different pastures. This is for the saftey of your goats. If one or two gets sick you can quarantine them and have a lower chance of infecting the whole herd. Also, since they are herd animals, it's always best to get more than one.
