I would contact a lawyer. When my dad had an issue with the nursing home not listening and getting a doctor, he called 911 from the nursing home and the ambulance came to get him and took my grandpa to the hospital. He got what he needed.
I'm sorry. This is so frustrating. I've spoken to a lawyer about this in Florida and he told me that if there is not permanent harm done to the patient directly correlated to negligence or malpractice that we wouldn't have a case due to how legally protected practitioners and health care facilities are. I never pursued it but I would start by calling around and see what different firms suggest. Good luck
You should start by reporting them to the state licensing agency. They can do an investigation and if they find negligence or malpractice, that would assist you in a lawsuit. Unfortunately, you are probably going to have difficulty proving malpractice or negligence as she was seen my a medical professional and she was given treatment. It was a misdiagnosis and it's a shame that she is in the hospital, but I think you will have a difficult time with a successful lawsuit in this case.
first get your granny out of there, second hire a lawyer. It's their job to build the case and collect evidence of the neglect. Just keep detailed notes so you can accurately convey all the relevant information you have. Sometimes writing it all out is helpful so you don't forget anything. See if they work for a flat hourly fee or a percentage of the damages to see what's within your budget. With certain cases, if you win, the defendants can be made to pay your legal fees. Good luck! Contact the ombudsman. They have to have a sign posted with that info inside the facility. It will have the phone number. They are a voice for residents rights and will know how to help you.

Honestly like pp said unless permanent damage is done it's very hard to have a case against them. But you can file a complaint with the state

Adult protective services (APS) can also help you, I'd definitely contact a lawyer and APS.
