Just got a call from my Dr saying I have it and need to start meds. I know it's not something horribly bad, but I'm only 22. I had my gallbladder and appendix taken out in the last year. I have depression and anxiety and now this. I had a colonoscopy done a few months ago and have internal hemerroids. Yes, many have it worse and what I have isn't really horribly bad but it's just frustrating I guess. My grandmother and mom both have had strokes. And it terrifies me that I'm next.

Sounds like you have had a tough run! Thyroid issues unknown or unmanaged are a problem for you and baby, but knowing about it is good and for low thyroid it's an easy fix - take tablet regularly and have occasional blood tests. I have hypothyroid too, glad my doctor picked it up.

My husband got graves (hyperthyroidism) at 19, my sister at 27.
It's a shiot diagnoses. It sucks. The symptoms are a biotch. You're going to be okay though. The medicine will help you

I have hashimoto's disease which causes hypothyroidism. The meds really do help, right now I'm in the process of getting them adjusted to control my thyroid but even now I have alot more energy than before. I wont lie there are bad days but its definitely controllable. I have changed alot in my diet to keep it from getting worse and it does help me feel better.
