another breast milk question

Your supply may have already regulated. If he has 6 wet diapers a day at 2 weeks old and is gaining weight he should be fine.

After a while, you just stop feeling full. You're milk regulated. If there's still a normal amount of wet & poopy diapers, & weight gained - babies getting enough. You don't want to feel full all of the time ?

Totally normal.

When your milk first comes in your breasts feel full for 2 reasons:

1) Your breasts get inflamed. The actual tissue is a bit irritated and swells up.

2) Your body goes into overdrive and produces too much milk at first. Once your body figures out exactly how much milk baby needs, it produces just enough for baby and not the oversupply that it started with.

After several weeks the inflammation goes away and the right amount of milk is produced- thus, the less full feeling.

OK that helps me relax a little. I was getting sad since I'm actually ebf him and I feel very proud that I am doing it since with dd I couldn't.

Soft breasts do not mean empty breasts. Breasts are not storage facilities for milk, they are factories; constantly producing.
