Has anyone ever done a baby shower right after baby is born ? My mom I guess did it with me and she said she ended up getting tons more stuff because people knew the little one to shop for . I'm thinking I might have to due to getting married in the first week of March and having a bridal shower in january and too many things will get crammed in before the birth at the end of june. I don't want to bleed people I love dry, but since this is the only time I'm getting married and also my first baby, I could use the help.

My mother's shower for my brother was after he was born because he came a month early. Plus there's no rule that a baby shower has to be before the baby comes. I think it's very admirable of you to think of others. Do what you think is right. Heck, the baby shower may be more fun cause baby is there.

My grandmother doesn't believe in having showers before the baby comes ? it gives people an opportunity to bond and visit with baby-as well as give you a bit of a break and time to visit and enjoy yourself as well!

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking , too. When the baby comes, everyone is going to want to see the little one, so it's sort of a welcome to the world shower , too . ❤

I don't believe in baby shower before the baby comes also, just like Amanda's grandmother. I pray my friends and family do an after birth shower as they know how I feel about before birth shower.
I'm due in July 15!

One thing to take into consideration is that baby's are very fragile and having them around a lot of people that can possibly spread bacteria that can get baby sick is not always best. My hospital won't allow children in to visit because they carry so many germs that are dangerous for a baby. They're immune systems aren't 100% as newborns and they need to be protected. Also, people don't always let you know if they have a sore throat or a cold before they hold your baby so just a thought.
